Devin Booker Replaces Damian Lillard in All-Star Game

With bad timing, Damian Lillard suffered a groin injury in Wednesday’s game versus the Memphis Grizzlies. This is not just bad timing for him, this is bad timing for his team who is currently trying to compete for the eighth playoff seed in the West. To top that off, this is bad timing for all of the fans that have been watching Dame tear up the league with anticipation of watching him continue his tear during the All-Star Game.

With Dame out of the All-Star Game, the NBA had to find a quick replacement with the game already this weekend. Despite having to complete a quick turnaround in finding Dame’s replacement, it isn’t like they had to look far for it anyway.

The NBA quickly turned to Devin Booker to replace Dame in the All-Star Game and rightfully so! Devin Booker has been an offensive monster this year averaging 26.4ppg, 6.3apg, and 4.2rpg while shooting 50% from the field, 35% from three, and 92% from the free throw line. There isn’t another guard in the West that is more deserving than Booker in replacing Damian. He has been deserving for at least two years now. Although, I know that if it was up to most of us, we would rather see both of them participate.

Hopefully next year we get that chance. Speedy recovery Dame!
